A very slow Tuesday. Dan had an appointment at 10.00 AM with a customer for Ruysdael Design, our web design company. Therefore we could sleep in a little bit. After he left, I answered some emails and one of them was from a reader who was so attentive to tell me that this website, when it is displayed on a smaller screen, is too full. I am in the lucky circumstance that I have a big screen, so it did not look that full here. I narrowed the settings of the page display, and indeed, he was totally right. I removed some widgets from the sidebars, and instead of two right side bars, it is one again. Thanks again for pointing this out to me, friend!
I also got a nice email from Joy. She generously sent me a picture for a new banner for the header of this website. Dan changed the dimension so that it was possible to inplant it in the header, along with the others. The header is a rotated one, so you might not see it directly, but if you refresh the page, it might come up
Around 12.00 Pm, I had a video phone call with my sister Marja, and that was, as usual, wonderful. I love to see and talk with my family and friends like this. It is a bit as if we are visiting each other, and having a kopje koffie met een koekje
(cup of coffee with a cookie).
I was planning to go to a shopping mall further in town, but the wind was too strong, so I decided to go to my local mall. I had a good deal for some plant pots for the back yard. Going back home, I noticed the temperatures had dropped at least 15 degrees. But, as we saw on the news, the East coast of the USA is hammered again with so much rain and wind. This year the weather is really acting weird. I am so happy my American husband decided 25 years ago to move from Missouri to California and not to Rhode Island or Connecticut.
After Dan came home, we had dinner and then we went to Target. I love that store. It is a bit the same as the Hema and The V&D in the Netherlands. The quality of their products is almost always really good, and the prices are very reasonable. Luckily for Dan, it was almost 9.00 PM, so the store would close anyway. Otherwise I might have looked around longer
Tonight we are having a kind of a dilemma: “V” and Lost and American Idol is on TV. All are recorded but which one will we watch tonight…..wow, so many choices
