Because of the dry and windy weather here, my headache is flourishing very well
The whole week I had to take painkillers and Claritin but it did not help that much. Only when I went to bed, was I able to take the prescription painkillers, and they really knocked me out! Friday I came home from work, and unfortunately the headache was worse than ever. I took a nap and thought it helped. Dan and Ryan came home, and we had a nice dinner. After dinner, Dan and I went to Walmart. And there the headache turned into a migraine. Man, I did not know what to do. I felt so nauseous, and the pain was almost unbearable. Dan loaded everything in the car and drove us home. At home, I took the migraine painkillers and on and off, I slept till the next morning 8.00 AM. My head felt as if it had been under the train, but it was so much better.
Later that Saturday morning, I called my son Niels, and he also had a migraine attack that night before! Isn’t that strange? So far, he told me, he will come and visit us the first 2 weeks of March! We cannot wait!
The rest of the Saturday I did some small errands and spent time reading my book in the backyard. The temperature was perfect outside. Dan made his famous hamburgers on the barbecue, and around 6.15 PM he brought me to work.
Sunday, we had to get up early because Ryan wanted to go into the mountains to the snow level. He has a project for his film class at school. He had to film and edit a video. At first, I was not thrilled at all to go, because we had wind gusts wind to 41 MPH here. We decided not to go to the top of Mount Pinos, in the Los Padres Mountains. The wind would be even worse there. But, after 2 hours driving, the wind was almost gone, and we decided to go to the top. It was wonderful. We walked in the snow, Ryan was filming and everywhere there were children sliding down the hills on the slides. It felt pretty special to walk there in the snow. The day before I was sitting in the sun and today we were in the snow! Yeah, this is California, man!
Here some pictures of or day in the snow.
There’s where we wanted to go: Up to the top!
The actress (Of course, I could not stop myself!)
The actor! (He could not either!)
The snow was very difficult to walk on. But it was very much worth it!
