Ellen In Amerika!

Back home. It feels so good. I feel I am home here. Maybe strange to say it this way, but back in the Netherlands, I felt pretty comfortable with the way things go there, as if I still lived there. I was a tad concerned I would not feel at home anymore in California. I was worrying again way too much. One step on US Soil, and I felt at home!

Since the end of 2009 I have been signed up with sitemeter / Google Analytics. Since that date, I have had 20,045 visitors!! That, to me, is a lot!! I know lots of blogs have many more visitors, but I feel proud about the amount of visitors I already have. My most frequent readers are from Arnhem, The Netherlands, and for the past few months from Georgia (USA). It is fun to see this information on Google Analytics, without knowing exactly who my readers are I am honored! It is also fun to see how many pages people read in one visit. One time a reader read 98 pages!

We had so much rain this winter that the years of drought are now over in Southern California. I am not sure if I am to blame for this, lol. I might have taken the weather from Holland with me! I am the first to regret this! I love the sunny weather here. Last Wednesday it was about 80 degrees, and after work, I decided to sit outside and read my book. Of course I fell asleep but normally this is only 10 minutes of half-sleep. Now I was gone for an hour! I did take the right precautions to put sunscreen on my skin, but apparently I had missed some spots.
