Hi, my name is Elisabeth Adriana Koster, aka Ellen Schaefer. This blog is about my emigration and living in the United States of America since September 1th 2008.
Since August 31 2008 I live in California, with my husband Dan. We have been married since September 22, 2007.
In the weekends, and sometimes during the week as well, Ryan, Dan’s son, is living wit us.
I have two wonderful sons, Niels, 27 years and Thomas 26 years.
I’m from a great, caring family and I am blessed with very close friends.

Ik ga binnenkort ook de grote stap zetten en emigreren naar Amerika, en vond ‘t heel leuk om je blog te lezen! Wat ik me afvroeg: Waar koop je bladerdeeg in de VS? In Florida, bij de grote supermarkten weten ze niet eens wat ik bedoel, laat staan dat ze het hebben.

Hi Paula, wat spannend, dat je ook hiernaar toe komt. Naar welk deel van the USA ga je? Bladerdeeg is in the freezer section in the grocery stores. Je kan croissant deeg kopen. Of anders puff pastry. Dit is hoe het hier heet maar het is wel prijzig. Als je geen probleem met winkelen in Walmart hebt, dan is het daar het best geprijsd.
